Has anyone tackled replacing the E-Brake pads on their 8.8 yet? I need to replace them on the axle I purchased yesturday and really don't see any way to do it with out pulling the axles.

I guess if I have to pull the axles to change the pads the next question would be how difficult is that to do with factory limited slip. I know with a open differential it is pretty simple but I have never pulled the axles or even the cover off a limited slip rear end.

You dont have to pull the shafts, but it can make it easier. LSD carrier will release the same as the open carrier by pushing shafts in and popping out c-clips.

I've always found it to be much easier to pull the shafts out to get to the springs. Maybe if I used the right tools...

I finished welding the new brackets on tonight. So I am going to try and install it tomorrow night if all goes well I will pull the axles saturday and put the E-Brake back to gether. Should be fun.

Same brake pads as used on factory Jeep disk brakes. It is easier to replace them with the shafts out.
