Looking for a help for product development. I need a highly reliable 12 volt DC motor. Gear box and ability to drive a sprocket is a must. In the full scope it will need very accurate speed adjustment and the ability for possible torq limiting and definitely travel stops.

All of this preferably has the ability to be bought at whole sale and be stocked as inventory.

I'm not an engineer by trade but looking for this specific help. Anyone stepping up would be compensated. I see this as a investment opportunity and the best fit would also be interested as a long term relationship for other product development.

Again it's a product I want to develope and sell.

Interested parties please email me a warriorwelding@gmail.com.

If you know someone please pass this along.

Thanks.

Speed adjustment is going to be in your choice of variable speed drive component. Without knowing your application... there's too much vague here. A motor with a built in variable speed drive = $$$$. Do you need a variable speed drive for a motor that's running an RC Car? A boat? An E-Wagon with a cooler? The sizing here dictates the size of your drive, which will more than likely be two very different industries/sellers.

Kind of the same thing for your motor specs. Small dc motors and dc motors for e-bikes etc, and dc motors for generators are all very different vendor sources.

"ability to drive a sprocket" - does this mean the gearbox **will** be directly hooked to a sprocket? Typically the output shaft of a motor (direct drive) or a gearbox is in consequential (to a degree), you simply size the gear sprocket to the output. They will varying shaft ends (keyed, threaded, geared, etc), but there are varying ways to mount a sprocket if the availability for the motor isn't there. But also, a variable here is if the gearbox, would it be driving a shaft, and the shaft would have a sprocket on it? (like a go-kart etc). OR will the sprocket be directly mounted to the output?

Wholesale isn't where you want to be at. You want to be at "OEM" costs if you are going to be "manufacturing" something. Youll want an account with the manufacturer, and if not, then with the distributor you will want to ask for "OEM pricing" as opposed to "wholesale" pricing. Two different categories most don't know about.

great feedback, hence the search....maybe the title should be engineer wanted.

Motor/drive parts out of a 12v cordless drill or some other cordless power tool?
I want something more robust and life expectancy.

When I was building battery powered pedal bikes, I found a lot of good vendors for EV controllers and motors. It is probably overkill for what you are looking for, but if you need some suppliers, let me know, I can dig up some of those details.

Actually the purpose I'm looking to fill is often retro fitted with mobility scooter motors. I want to as someone put it be OEM. I don't want to scrounge parts for my customer base.
