First off I will state that I am working off of a haynes manual, my FSM should be here by the end of the week (from ebay). Well I have some sort short in the harness and heres what I've found.... Okay with the key turned on I can operate the windows and my gas gauge reads accurate as well as my volt gauge. When I start the jeep I lose power to my gauges and I lose power to the windows and the heater controls. But if I turn on my headlights I get power to the windows and gauges for a brief second while the jeep is running and then it goes back to being dead.
okay, a lil more info... All the gauges seem to read fine with fuse #12 out (hevac) and engine running but when i turn turn the lights on the gauges die. unless I pull out fuse number 17 ( rad illum) but then I have headlights only and no foglights. any electrical gurus out there care to chime in? thanks steve.
