Electric auto AC compressor

Thinking about putting AC on my old truck but I don't want to rearrange stuff under the hood has any one used a electric compressor before?
there common in hybrids start/stop stuff and big trucks for no idle laws any thoughts advice would be helpful or some on will to take on putting ac on my truck

I Haven't thought of a electric ac . I have a ac compressor off of a chevy volt will have to dig it out and look at it. I dont know if a single battery would run it very long though.
