Electric fan question

I've got a 2003 Jeep Grand w/ 4.0. My problem is when you shut off the engine the electric fan will not turn off. I let it run for about 30 min thinking it might turn off on it's on, but it never did. the only to get it to stop running is to pull the fuse or battery cable. any advice??? thanks

Something is shorted, possibly the relay or temp sensor.

can I unhook the electric fan for a couple of days with out hurting any thing, just till i can get to it this weekend???

honestly with this heat were having this week, id just plug it (or the fuse) back in when you drive it.. Not worth it over heating or something silly..

I agree its probably the relay or temp switch..
