I'm heading that way in about a month and looking for some great places to get some grub. Also wondering if anyone on here knows of a small sail boat cruise in the area. Only places I can find are 40' boats with a ton of people or no longer in business. Willing to drive 30 minutes from Emerald.

Thanks,
Jesse

Bushwhackers at the Bouge Inlet pier is pretty good, Jordans at the nearest stoplight is pretty good grub as well. Down onthe other end of the island, Channel Marker at the Atlantic Beach causeway is awesome, Amos Mosquitoes at the Oceanna pier isnt' half bad either, and about halfway between EI and AB is the crab shack in salter path. not sure on the sail boat cruises, but there are a few charter captains over on ncangler.com that could likely point you in the right direction.

Used to be a guy w/ a sailboat over on the waterfront in Beaufort who would do day cruises for a totally reasonable price.

Yeah, I'd do some searches for boats leaving from Beaufort. That's your best bet and not too far from Emerald Isle.

While you're at it, hop on any of the ferry boats out of Beaufort to Shackleford Banks and spend a day there. Take plenty of booze and some sunscreen. Oh, and some water and food might not be bad too.

If you do go over to Beaufort, stop in at the Sanitary in Morehead for some delicious greasy fried seafood (and a true historic NC experience). Mmmmmm.

x2 on going over to Shackfd Bks , but BYOshade.
