Engine Builder Needed

Can anyone recommend a great engine builder (Chevy) in the Triad area? Could also use a rec on someone that does good tranny rebuilds...

Man, I can't remember the name of the shop that rebuilt the 350 for my old CJ. It was something racing. It was two letters. Something like R&S Racing (just can't remember the two letters). That engine was strong as hell. It was in the triad area, sorry I can't be of more help. Maybe someone else on the board can help.
 
if you can take it to durham, Charlie Hemphill (i beleive thats his name) builds tons of circle track engines etc and is considered to be one of the best for chevies
 
The best imo is Buck Racing in King. They are right off of 52 behind Fowler Chevrolet.
 
Triple J Motorsports in winston does complete rebuilds, bores, tweaks, etc, aparently also alot of custom jobs for racing, gusy at bowman grey etc.
Classic greasy hole-in-the-wall place, they seem to know their stuff, at least for 351 Fords and Toy 22re, my only exp w/ 'em.
 
From what I've heard, Steve Ashworths Performance in Fuquay Varina is pretty well known in the roundy-round crowds. I've only purchased parts from them, no motor work. They do have a dyno in the shop and lots of drag cars around all the time.

Hey Im an avid chevy engine builder.........Ive built so many chevy motors its not funny.....from mild to wild......Ive done stock rebuilds to wild 383 Lt1 nitrous stroker motors.....Ive also built motors for the dirt track racing guys....not trying to toot my own horn but for the price AND quality I think I could give you what youre looking for.I dont mind giving a warranty on my labor.If youre interested PM me and we can talk about it.Im located In High point so.........let me know. :huggy:
