I've got an 84 chevy k10, w/ 89 350ci vette engine in it, edelbrock 4barrel carburetor, and it doesn't want to idle right sometimes. any help on how to rebuild carb or what to possibly do to fix problem? I'm kindof new, but I'm not totally a newbie to trucks/engines/etc. I just want to get more involved and learn a ton. Thanks!

who converted it to carb?
Was the distributor changed to vac advance from electronic advance?

first check above^^^ then check to make shure it is truly a carb, older 350 had direct port injection looks like a carb but has injectors on top. then make shure you dont have ANY vac. leaks. once you have done all this post back your findings and little more info on the problems

with the edelbrock/carter style carbs, they can get fussy at idle from float level or low fuel pressure(try changing your fuel filter). those carbs are usually rock solid.

also have a 700R4 transmission in it, and there's a pressure cable, and clutch kickdown cable that helps it shift. its slipping from low fluid, and i need to find those cables to see if i can tighten them to help it shift smoother. other than that, it'll be road ready soon
