going to do a headgasket/timing/valve job on my 86 runner... wanting to get your opinions of kits out there? Felpro upper gasket kit im leaning towards but i dont have any clues on the timing part??? any advise?

Most any OEM quality Timing kit should be fine. Many auto parts stores sell the same kits.... NAPA, AZ, and import specialists type auto parts stores.

Take your "time" with the "timing job". Not too complicated but can take some time and easy to damage other parts of the engine.

Call LC Engineering
They have the most complete and best kit around. Remember 22R/RE head bolts should not be reused.
LC has a great tech department also..........

I lean more towards DOA Racing engines in here in NC. He is by far one of the most knowledgeable people on the planet with 22r stuff but both places may be a little high for what you're looking for. http://www.engnbldr.com/ has pretty good prices.
