My dad is restoring a '65 Cuda and came across a smokin deal on a '67 273/904/7.25" combo. He's in Greenville, SC. We'll be picking the parts up from Richmond, Va.

The Engine will need to be rebuilt, I'd imagine the tranny as well. I'm looking for referrals for an engine builder. the closer to Greenville, SC the better. but will entertain other places as well so long as the drive isn't that bad. I'm in G-boro/HP area so the Piedmont works too.

Suggestions? Maybe a Tranny rebuilder as well.

I have a very estalbished friend that has his own shop and I have sent many friends to him through the years and EVERY one of them was satisfied. Warren's Transmissions south of W-S 336-784-8811 Tell him I referred you.

For the engine, call Drew at Rotating Dynamics in Winston. 336-924-5354. Incredible work, great attention to detail. And prices not out of line with other machine shops, but above average work.

I recommend Morgan and son machine shop in Morganton. For the tranny, Cooks racing transmissions between Chesnee and Spartanburg.

Ditto! And I believe Brent's had work done there already... since he told me about him a few years back when I needed a set of heads rebuilt...

Personally, I'd ask Buddy over at Foothills 4x4 (he is in Greenville) for info about a engine and trans shop. There is a lot of automotive stuff there in Greenville and the surrounding areas. Heck, Griffin radiator is even in that neck of the woods!

yep, and that was the only place I personally knew of.

I think he found a place local in Greenville that will also install it for him. so it would sure be nice to load/unload one time, have them rebuild and install.

Thanks
