Anybody know of a place you can pick one of these up pre-made? My brother has a 93 Trooper he just put a 3" body lift on for some reason and the clutch hose is really stretched. Shortly thereafter the hydraulics started acting up. Seems like we're having the "chinese handcuffs" problem where the ID of the hose is reduced due to the stretching of the hose. I put a clutch in it for him when he got it and would like to not do it again.
I guess I'll try Carquest if I can't just buy one already made. Next option it to get some -AN adapters to use this braided hose I have laying around the house.
One last thing - dampers in clutch hydraulic systems. I hadn't seen one before I started messing with this Trooper and a BMW or two recently. Anybody had one of those fail? I'm thinking about just running that braided hose straight from the master cylinder to the slave to bypass the damper.
If it makes a difference, he's in the north Mecklenburg county area. I'll be going to Raleigh this weekend, so if there's any suggested place from Charlotte to Raleigh off the interstate chime in.
