Anybody in the Charlotte area know where I could find extra long heavy duty cable ties. Looking for something in the 30" range and black. Catch is that I don't want/need to buy an entire pack of 25 or more. I only need maybe 6 at the most. I did found some today, but would have had to buy in bulk at $25 bucks a pack. Ideally would like to find them sold by the piece. Didn't think it would be that hard for the bigger sizes. Thanks guys.

Just uuuse sum balin' wire...that's wat we does out here in Mayberri....:shaking:

Most places that deal with refrigeration/ HVAC will carry them(CC Dickson or United Refrigeration) but like you said, you`ll have to buy the whole pack. I keep several on the work van most of the time.

Actually, I discovered today that what I was attempting to do won't work anyway. :shaking: Thanks for the suggestions anyway.

Go ahead and buy a pack of the big'uns and keep them on yer rig. They are good for holding the stuff that fell off back in place.

Well while we are on the subject, what are the STRONGEST cable ties and where can you get them, they dont need to be very long but need to be able to take a beating. I work at a paintball field and we just put up a bigger net but cant get the damn zip ties to hold anymore with the new net.

Tractor supply sells Stainless Steel cable ties. As small as the plastic ones but stronger

Your best bet with the net is bailing wire. A good zip tie might hold it up but if someone or something pulls on it they will let go. Also if the wind picks up if can pull them loose.

Fastenal also has the big ones. The ones with the metal locking clip are much stronger then the ones with the plastic ones.

Go steal some of those that hang from the rear-view of patrol cars!

You can get ones at grainger that are 1/4" wide and have a holding strength of 100lbs.

They aint cheap, but they are available.
