eye to eye shocks

Is there anything wrong with mounting eye to eye schlock with the eyes perpendicular to each other rater than parallel?

The other end of the rod is a circular psiton it doesnt know which way it turns.

As long as you are exerting linear forces on the shock you should be fine, if you get into lateral forces....well bad things will happen.

Not really, cause the shaft of the shock can twist therefore no real binding. I've done it plenty of times.

thanks for the info. I'm wanting to outboard my shockswith ford shock towers and the part I want to use will make the shocks eyes perpendicular to each other. I wanted to make sure there wouldn't be any problems w/ the mod.

drew is a master fabricator... however if u have lots of wheel travel mounting the shocks with the bolts parrallel to the axle can cause the shock eye to bind. ive seen it happen when using air shocks or coilovers
