I recently bought a 97' F250 Superduty, 7.3 diesel for a tow rig. The GVWR is 8800 lbs, but we have a 9600 lb horse trailer that I will occasionally pull with it, as well as my TJ. How would you guys reccomend that I beef up the rear suspension? Air bags, add-a-leafs, or bigger junkyard leafs from an F350? Any uggestions?

The GVWR of 8800 is for just the truck. The truck, passengers, cargo in the bed and the tongue weight of the trailer shouldnt be over 8800 lbs. You shouldnt have to do anything to the f250 to pull that 9600 lb trailer so long as it doesnt exceed the hitch rating or the tongue weight doesnt put you over 8800.

Shouldn't need anything, just make sure you got the tags to pull the weight.
I,ve got 14,000 lb. tags on my 99 250. I pull a 27 ft. gooseneck 3 horse just fine. Thought mine was too soft in the rear, replaced the shocks all around and firmed it right up.
Air bags are the way to go if you still want more firmness. A big trailer will make the rear squat a little. My old 94 250 had alot stiffer suspension, but rode like a buckboard empty.
