My 01 wrangler has 33x12.50x15's on it, and when i go through mud it covers the jeep, looks cool, but wife hates it. What size of fender flares should i get? Or what are these extensions i've seen?

If your always in the mud I'd Flair it, but any trail riding of anysort will eventually lead to a torn off or mangled flare. Saying that I would stay with a fairly pliable brand that will give rather than buckle your fender upon contact. I don't know how soft they are but Xenon brand products have seemed to have good quality for the price range. Quadratec and others carry them and some local vendors could aquire them to.

i doubt i'll really be wheeling too much in it. I'd like to keep the side marker lights.

tube finders look the coolest in my opinion they can be pricey, but then you know your not gonna rip one off on a tree or an accident or what not

Maybe a dumb suggestion, but a suggestion none the less...and you get to keep the rig looking the way it looks. I've sprayed down rigs before with Pam, and it wicks the mud right off. Sometimes during the run, you may need additional coats, depending on how long you're out or how much mud you're actually slinging. I've also used WD-40, doesn't do as well, but if that's all you got, it's fine. Just food for thought, if you like the way your Jeep looks now.

i'd like to "update" the look of it alittle. I'll have to check on the Xenon's.

Put some Teety Bird mud flaps on!! That would be kick@ss!!!!

lol

i've seen fender flare extensions - how the crap do they work?

I was thinking about that. But i havent seen them anywhere?

Those Xenon flares are just too expensive!! :shaking:

Warn makes some some nice ones also, but again really expensive. I havnt been able to find any tough ones any where that are affordable. I like the Xenons because they are flat and provide more room for flex without hitting.

I believe the ones for a Rubicon are 1-1.5 inches wider than a regular Wrangler...theres a bunch on e-bay for reasonable prices.

think i seen the extensions on 4wd.com
