I am new to Charlotte and my C02 tank was emptied this weekend at Uwharrie. Where can I get it filled in Charlotte? Oh, its a 10 lb tank.

I'm in the Matthews area, prefer to get it filled in that area but I understand if I gotta travel a little ways.

Used to be National Welders now it`s Airgas National Welders. There is one off of Billy Graham near I- 85.

I posted this same question several months ago and got some suggestions-

They are all a decent drive for me. The going price here (NC) seems to be quite high- like $18 to $30 to fill a 10lb tank. I'm used to paying $8 and it would be filled in about 5 minutes or so. Some of the places I called wanted to keep the tank overnight and charge me 3 to 4 times what I used to pay. Crazy. I may switch to OBA instead of my power tank.

Thanks for the replies.

I got the tank filled up at Robinsons Gas here in Charlotte. They charged 21 bucks. Back in BFE South Carolina I could get it filled for 10 bucks while I waited. These guys took the tank back into the back and fiddled with it for like, 20 minutes.

I'm going to keep researching and try to find a better deal. Maybe there is a paintball place around here that can hook me up.

my fire extinguisher place went from $18-$24-$31 in three years but thats a 20lb tank. I might switch to OBA too

i have mine done at national welders in monroe for 17 bucks and takes about 10 min from the time i pull in and back on the road

Local fire extiguisher places can fill them. However my brothers was repaired for a leak then when he went to use it, it only filled (1) 42" swamper. My question is how muck psi should it be filled 2?

Paintball Central charges $6 to refill a 20oz tank. By that rate, a 10lb tank fill would cost $48. Paintball proshops target market is kids with mommy & daddy's credit card in their pocket. You'd probably be better off at a welding shop or a beverage distributor... some place that fills large volume tanks on a regular basis.
