Finally Got A Tow Rig

The search is over! I am actually kind of in disbelief but I gotta say I love my new Suburban!

Gary came over and we headed out in the rental car around 3am and picked up Shane in route to Atlanta. We ran into quite a few accidents and construction on the way to and from Atlanta. Hopefully I won't have to travel back down there anytime soon.

So, we got down to Peachtree City, GA around 8:30 am and stopped at the Cracker Barrel for some breakfast and then on to test drive and look over the Suburban. It turned out to be pretty much exactly what I wanted.

The Good:

123,000 miles
2WD
3/4 ton
Tranny cooler
Brake cooler
Kelsy brake controller (need to do some research on this)
454
4L80E
14 bolt rear
Cold A/C
10,000lbs rated towing capacity
Mechanically sound
Everything works


The Bad:

Tires need to be replaced
Washer fluid reservoir has a small leak (most likely dried out O ring for the rear pump)
Possible small steering fluid leak

The Ugly:

Interior needs a good detailing
Atlanta Falcons front license plate (already gone)
Bug deflector cracked/broken


Overall, I am pleased with what I got for $3500. And now some pics:

So I am sure I will become a more frequent visitor in this forum with many stupid n00b questions in the near future.

Pretty close. ex-husband bought it to tow his drag car but his dad picked up a F350 so he never did. It was used to haul the kids around instead. The interior isn't filthy but it isn't all that great either.

That's what maps are for. None of us except the bigger dudes had been there before that trip. We just grabbed the map and went.

That is all I did with the smaller guys.
