That's great news! I have an aunt and an uncle who have jobs with the Railroad in Missouri. The retirement plan is outstanding! The only down side working there is the hours, my uncle (retired now) is still on railroad time and gets up at 4:30am everyday. But he does have his own airplane, a fully paid for new home, and has plenty of time to see his grandkids.

good luck man. a buddy of mine who dropped out of NCSU got hired on by Norfolk Southern about 3yrs ago as a signal man assistant making BANK! the only downside to his position is that he is all over the US east of the mississippi, but he only has to work 4 days a week and gets paid mileage to drive home every weekend, plus food and housing where ever he's at.
