Need to run a bunch of wires through the firewall. not a fan of just drilling a big hole and letting them hang out loose, is there was neat/common/cheap grommet kit that creates a decent weather seal, yet is reasonably expandable for further wiring?

Seems like I've seen silicone deals where you drill a small hole and push wiring through, and the material kind of re-seals itself around it?

I bought a HUGE kit a long time ago..I can't remember where I got it...I'd look at Northern Tool...I'd bet they have them.

I get them at ACE Hardware anytime I need one. Come in various sizes.

Are you guys talking about the sealed kind w/ silicone in the middle, or just a rubber ring to secure inside a hole?

radio shack has cheap rubber o-ring kits. you seal them yourself, but the kit comes in a variety of sizes so you shouldn't have to.
