Got a deal on some fishing reels the other day and I thought I would post a picture of them. Had nothing else to do,The doc has me on some real good pain pills as I work to pass a stone after being in the ER the other day.... The reels were new in box but his dad had them for several years and when he said 40$ I said OK and got a rod to its not going to be used its an old split bamboo boat rod maybe 60 years old....
Here is a pic.

Here is a better pic to show the size. Now if I can find something to catch with them..... They will hold a lot of 150lb test.... I will spend more in line then the reels cost...
the little one is a 12/0 and the big one is a 14/0

Nice reels! I've got an old senator 12/O I use for shark fishing. Ive got it paired up with a 6ft medium/heavy action ugly stik. I love that reel. I also use the penn 140L squidder for drum fishing. Ive got that one on a 12 ft heavy action heaver.

Want to sell one ? i'll give you twice what you paid for either one.

I was offered $250 for one and $300 for the other...
I'm going to sit on them, I got them just to look at anyway, they had the box and paperwork, looks like he got them in the service after WWII in Japan around '59 or so from the paper work. Talking to Penn Reels to find out more It had one of there books that had all the fish records and info on the reels at the time. New at the PX they were $65 and $55.

Forget the reels, just wishing you good luck on the stoneage, I just passed # 46, that is- at least big enough to notice. I have passed a 11mm x 5mm. About the size of a #2 pencil eraser- when pulled out.
