I'm having some problems converting the fj to the painless 12-circuit harness. I think I have all the fj parts, but the painless literature leaves some what to be desired. Has someone done this swap before? If so is there any wire diagrams availible to help?

I did one about a year ago, its the farthest thing from painless. The problem is that kit is made for a bronco and a scout and for a unexperienced wiring guy it can be a mess. I used a factory wiring diagram, they are very vague. Chase wires and use your volt/ohm meter. If you have any specific problems shoot me a PM. Another option you have is calling Proffitts Cruisers in Colorado, real cool guys and very knowledgable. Hope this helps.

Remove the entire factory harness. Cut the connectors off with a couple inchs to spare to connect on the painless harness. Do it right and do it once. Take you time and don't rush it.
