Flat Fendered TJ

Fabbed and installed flat fenders on my TJ this weekend. The before and during pics are on another camera, but here are some of the finished (except final paint) pictures.
The fenders are 16 gauge steel on the flats, and 18 gauge on the 1" lip. I picked up a couple inches of room when all was said and done.

''Lowering it"? You can do that?! In all honesty, I have been toying with it, maybe an inch off my body lift or actually going down a tire size. I just don't think I can bring myself to do it.

The last pic shows them. I hole-sawed out under the headlights and mounted some small round ones. My two side fender running lights had to take a walk though.

dont get me wrong.. I like TJs flat fendered... it just looks like you could run 44's on there if it were bumpstopped more...

Finished the back fenders. Now I can kill my body lift.

Finished the back wells this weekend. Once I decided I was going to drop it I had to address the back, so with a couple cuts and a little fab I now have enough room to lose my 3" body lift completely. I just need to get my exhaust line changed (hopefully this week) and I'll be able to lower it next weekend.
