Flushing a transmission/Shift kit install

Ok so I need to flush my tf 727 because it was sitting outside for a while and has some water in it. How do I do that or where do i take it to do that, and how much is it gonna run me $$. Everytime i do a search online it comes up with the huge shop machines.
Thanks

I think aamco can do it. I believe it needs to be in the jeep and running though, so the pump will work.

to do a proper "flush", you need a machine... any tranny shop should be able to do it for you for not much $$$ or you could just drain and fill a few times and hope for the best... IMO, i would just load it up and drop it off somewhere to let them do it

if its already there and you dont know much about autos, just let them do it... i have some experience w/ transmissions and am fine all day long w/ a manual but autos scare me :D

Well, if it were me, and not sure about the tranny I would have it built, just for the sake of knowing it is right. Not sure about 727's but I am pretty sure Cooks in Chesnee SC, kinda near Spartanburg, will do them. I know a Turbo 350, 400 or a C4 or 6 will cost you about $250 for the build including the torque converter. I know many who have had great service out of these. From street , to crawlers, to Drag cars. PM me if you want the number.

Ditto. it's in unknown condition and has water in it? have it gone over.

I'll throw a 3rd in there...
If its been sitting AND has water in it.... probably not worth the effort to hang it without going through it first....

I'll also2nd cooks... though they've never done an off road tranny for me they did my street rod including changed gear sets, manual valve body etc.. no complaints super nice, cheap and on time!

Stewart's in Clover is another good one... Good work and can't beat their prices... but they can be slooooow.

yes

The outside is Aluminum, a lot of the inside moving parts are not. They will rust, and needle bearings, fluid passages, pump, seals, and so on do not like rust at all.

I'd do more than that sitting outside moisture can get inside. I'd keep it inside somewhere. Ricky i'd def have someone to go through it. Nothing worse that getting something together and realiseing it's s-it. Trannys don't like water.

Yea well I'm not the one who left it outside, when i got it thats where he had been keeping it, oh well I didn't think it would have been messed up, I thought I could just flush it and bolt er up. Anyway it was sitting out there full of tranny fliud and the dipstick part was gone so thats how water would have gotten in i guess? I never actually saw any water but it had been sitting out like that forever. It's in my garage now . . .
