Ive got a 9 foot fly rod, 5/6 weight.

Is it okay to store it against a wall so that it ends up bending a bit, or is that not so good?

Im with stupids

Go get some big hooks and screw them into the studs of a wall.

For a fly rod? Seems like overkill for it to go into the studs. Id guess an anchor or something would work just fine.

Ive just got it up against my bike (which hangs from the wall as well, screwed into the studs). No bends and it looks fine.

NOT with stupids....

actually it won't hurt it a bit. ASSUMING you're not leaning it against the wall at a 45* angle!! but withe the butt of the rod out from the wall a few inches, no, it won't hurt it.

Does it break down? if so, Break it down for storage, that's the best way. Granted mine are broken down and stored in tubes, but leaning against the wall isn't going to hurt them a bit.

Graphite and Fiberglass rods are made out of these materials because they don't hold a memory.

I used to break it down and put it back in the box, but that got super annoying, plus it rained yesterday and the box got trashed.

I should get a case for it, I just dont have the cash right now. Id like to keep it set up, because it always takes me so damn long to start out on the water because it takes me forever to set it up.

I gotta break it down anyways, it needs a new leader and tippet.

Duh. Buy more rods to "test" the rod rack. that will work at least once if you get married I hear
