i've got access to a 205 tranfer out of a 78 bronco,is there a way to use this as a passenger side drop,i was going to use a dana 300 behind my 350 trans ,but if it will be cheaper to use the 205 i would rather use it

Different input spline count, mount pattern(?), shift rail location is likely different, etc., etc..

With your 4.3, I think a stock 300 would be easier. The front output on the Ford is good though.

Yeah, you really need a PS drop T350 version. The Ford one is good for parts if you want the 32spl front/rear outputs, but the rest is more trouble than it's worth.

well i suppose these two post answered all my questions,i reckon i just need to step up and order the 500.00 adapter for the 300 now

or you could just buy a $250 NP205 for a TH350 and be done?

actually i pm'ed a guy yesterday about one out of a military truck,so hopefully that deal will come thru and i wont have to worry about the 300 anymore,i hope the price for his is around what Rich said

Some (most?) of the military trucks had the 208, IIRC...

Yea they liked the 208 in the military trucks. Let me know if you need a passanger drop one. I think I have one but it may be a dodge unit. Anyone know if that will work?

how about it Rich will the dodge unit work,a 203 adapter wont work will it

I doubt it'll work without an input shaft change.

Seriously, just find a TH350 edition NP205 with the factory adapter and you're done. They're out there.
