Replacing the radiator in the 2010 Escape XLT. I'm flushing the coolant but only getting less than a gallon out of it a time. I assume there is a plug in the block somewhere but I can't find it. Any advice/help is appreciated

Theres a 14mm allen plug on the back side of the block as well as on on the front side above the oil filter. Take them out.

Thanks, I got pissed off and just flushed the thing by getting it hot, opening the petcock and pouring a few gallons of water through it while it ran. It now has about a gallon of purified water in the block and I'll add a gallon of prestone/check/adjust the mix etc. when I get THE RIGHT RADIATOR :kaioken:. The one I bought looked good to me, but it has a second petcock where it should be the return to the jug hose :kaioken:. I have never seen a radiator w 2 petcocks?

Sometimes they unscrew and you install the old fitting....

Yes, it looked like a flange and screw/plug was on the fitting for the return to the jug. After I unscrewed it the plug the "flange" was just a rubber gasket. It was black and looked like part of the radiator and I assumed it was just a filler for the tank that has no cap like an old school rad.

Ahhhhhhh so it was just a banjo bolt pretty much. I've seen plugs where sensors may or may not be installed to reduce different stock counts for same vehicle applications.
