I know it isn't 4wd related but figured maybe someone could at least point me in the right direction....I'm putting a 8.8 from an explorer under my 62 Chevy II and just wondering if anyone knew which kind of adapter to get to mate the 8.8 to the Chevy driveshaft? As well as the u joint needed? I've read of there being a u joint that's ford on one side and Chevy on the other? A part number was also given but they were old posts from a forum and don't seem to be valid numbers any longer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

The u joint is either a 1310 or 1330, both are used on chevy and ford.

Yes Sir, we have quite a few. What u joint size do you need? Also there are 2 different bolt patterns. The biggest on is 4.25".

Sorry man I'm a little new to this area of work, how do I determine the u joint size I need? Also do I just measure the bolt holes on the flange of 8.8 to determine which size adapter I need?

PM sent.
