Ford 8.8 swap??

I've got a '91 YJ with stock D35. I'm looking to do the 8.8 swap and may be able to get my hands on an 8.8 out of a '99 Mustang GT.

The question is can you do the swap with this axle v/s one out of an Explorer?

The axle has anti-lock brakes on it.

Check the width and spline count of the GT axle. 95+ Exploder 8.8's have disc brakes, 31 spline shafts, and are ~ 59.5" WMS to WMS.

Your going to want an 8.8 from a 95 or newer Ford Explorer. Check out this thread. It has a ton of useful info.

i amgetting ready to change out my rear end in my yj so i will have a 96 8.8 explorer with lsd 3.73 gears set up for disc brakes already set up for a yj in the next couple of weeks if your still looking
