Im looking at purchasing a 2000 to 2003 ford 7.3 liter turbo diesel and wondering if anyone had any problems with the transmissions. I plan on putting a programmer in it but thats about it no insane upgrades like bigger turbo or anything. Should i upgrade the tranny too? or are they pretty tough?

Expect stocks to last 150ish till kaboom..Same with all diesels.

But once replaced you should be fine to roamp on it.

how much would i be lookin at to replace it? the one im looking at has 146,000. but i also found a 6 speed that im more intersted in but i havent looked at either yet
