I've been collecting parts and saving money so now the build begins. Formula toy #501
22re, w56, dual cases....hopefully 4.7s
30 spline longs,....all of the usuall toyota stuff
Recentered 12 bolt H1's w/ 38" sx's...Prolly will change to 39.5" iroks

Shooting for early december completion... test for a few months then head out to KOH for a week

Good luck with the build makes me miss mine. I had 508 till end of last year when I had to sell her. Never even got to compete with it.
 
Sounds like a sweet build, I know I personally would love to hear of $$ in the build as you go?

Where did you pick up #501 at, etc? (Cost?)
 
:wheel:WOW...forgot I had a build thread. I will post up pics sun. or mon. The drivetrain is in, seats are tacked in, lots more tube work. I picked the chassis up from a friend. Paid $1200 for the formula toy, and a 88 4runner rolling chassis with drivtrain. Lucky find. So far I have less than $5000 in the rig, should be able to finish it for close to $6000. I've been moving 12 hours away so progress has slowed. New completion date hopefully to be end of Jan...wheel for a few weeks then load up and hit the road to KOH
