Thanks to everyone who has made a donation to Friends Of Uwharrie. We are back in the black after several donations from the mountain bike community as a result of the WoodRun bike trail workday! Remember, if you make a donation and would like it earmarked for OHV trail use, please indicate this on your PayPal memo or on your check! Unless we know what you want your donation to be used for it goes into the general fund!
The loader/backhoe will be used at the September FS OHV workday. This will be the first time this piece of equipment has been in operation in the Forest and if all goes well, Ranger Walker has lots of projects lined up for it's use. Thanks again to everyone who has donated time or money to get this machine trail ready!
FOU will have an information/donation booth at the Mountain Festival Jamboree October 12th. We will also be sponsoring a "cash vote" show and shine as an FOU fundraiser. Each rig in the s&s will have a vote bucket for cash donations. Donations totals will determine the winners and all proceeds will go to FOU.
Are you an expert WordPress web site designer? FOU needs you! The BOD is looking for someone to design a template for our non-profit website. We have WP experienced volunteers who can maintain the site but we are in need of some professional help with template design.
