If anybody has a neighbor or crackhead buddy that shows up with a shiny new blue Yamaha TTR 125 looking to sell it, PLEASE PM ME! My sons was stolen from the house last night in the area between Wallburg and High Point. I will reward for the info if I catch 'em. If by some crazy chance you are on this forum, here is your warning. Don't let me find you or your offspring riding it this summer like at URE or local tracks.:fuck-you:

Dude, that sucks! I hate thieves, I think once one is caught a hand should be cut off as punishment. Post up a picture so we can all keep an eye out.

I'll post up a pic shortly. I'm working a few "angles" to see if it will turn up. This is a crappy lesson for my son when he has twice found wallets on hiking trails with money and called the people to get it back to them. He even found a 100 dollar bill outside of a restaurant and wanted to go back in and ask who it belonged to. I said how many people do you think will raise they're hand. He still didn't like keeping it but I felt that it was a situation that it was allowed. Don't everybody chime and say it was their bill.

there were a couple dirt bikes stolen out of my neighborhood a few months back. some one even snatched a puppy! creeps.

keep an eye on craigslist.

hey, that was my bill!!

j/k.
Sounds liek you have trained him well, good for both of you, and shame on this jackass.

anything Custom about that bike? something distinguishable from any other blue Yamaha TTR 125? You're in my area and I'll keep an eye out too.

Oh and thumbs up on teaching the kids Values!

There would be a lot of one handed people out there! But I would agree. I think a slap on the wrist doesnt cut it these days but thats all these theives get. Thats why they continue to steal even after getting caught.

...Once a thief always a theif!

good luck finding the bike! :wheel:

Post an add in Craigs list looking for one. Put in the add how your son has his heart set on one so you're looking for a good used one....lol
PS: If you want I can post one here in the Raleigh area and see what comes up.

Thanks for all the input and support guys. We're still hoping it turns up. Filed the claim today...that sucked. Haven't heard back yet. Don't know if they will cover it. Talked to our Yam. dealer sat. and they said they know of several cases where the insurance companies would not cover a "recreational toy". It would have to have its own policy. That sounds like a good idea Green Ford in the Raliegh area craigslist. Thanks, Slim

i had one for sale a few years back and some ppl came and looked at it then came back that nite n stole it. they seemed a little fishy when they were there and i found out where he lived and got it back.

Nothing really custom about it besides a few stickers.(see pic above) He really is a good kid and it pisses me off that he has to see this kind of crap.

Any word?

Nothing yet DW... Insurance said have a nice day it's not covered. I got a message from Davidson PD about it and have called back repeatedly since wed. and get nothing but voicemail, errrrrrr!

I saw it sitting in your driveway the last couple months for sale when taking my kid to school. Was it chained up to anything? (Didnt look like it) I will keep my ears/eyes open for anything. I had my RM80 stolen from my backyard years ago, i know the pain

:shaking: It was absolutely, positively was chained up. They cut the lock.

I didnt mean anything nasty by the message, just thinking if it wasnt locked to anything it could have been middle school/ JR high kids....will still keep an eye out.

Yes Dev., it was cabled to the power pole out front for sale. They cut the padlock and not the Kriptonite cable. Thanks for keeping an eye out. A word of warning...we in the offroading world own various toys (atv, dirtbike, buggy) that are not covered under homeowners policies. I'm not bashing insurance companies but you need to look at your individual policies because I know of 3 different companies that left their customers hanging when these "toys" were stolen or lost in a fire. You have to have a separate policy to cover them(more $). Devlsh, are you the one that lives on Westover with the lifted nissans?

:rolleyes:I know your pain lost my raptor 660 the same way trying to sale it. I loaded my AR and mini 14 that day to take to shooting range luckily for the theives i sleep like a rock!!! good luck finding it man...

Update: High Point police recovered the dirtbike this week. There has been plenty of cop bashing on here lately so here is a story about one that went out of his normal routine and found the bike behind a project house in the hood. The bike is torn up pretty bad as the original pic shows it as new. Still gonna cost around 400 to repair it to sale. I'm just happy to have it back to be able to recoup some of our money. Thanks to everyone that kept an eye out.
