Frustrating brake system failure

Started out, basic drum brake overhaul: shoes, cylinders, springs etc. Also changed the parking brake cables back to front, and the pair of rusted out lines that run along the axle to the brake cylinders.

When I went to bleed the system, I could get fluid to pump out of the bleeder fittings, but the system would never stay pressurized. If you wait a few seconds, the pedal is on the floor again. Finally I realized it was loosing fluid where the master and the booster meet.

Thinking the seals had gone out I grabbed a junk yard booster and master to get it done quick. (Thought I would change the booster while im at it.) When bleeding the system again, found the same problem. Fluid loss between master and booster.

Frustrated, I sprung for a new (well remanufactured) master from autozone and today, and it does the same damned thing.

What the hell is going on? There is no obvious fluid or air loss elsewhere in the system, I would have seen or heard it. Now 3 master cylinders, all of which were probably fine in retrospect, end up seeping fluid. Is it possible that the combination valve is clogged and not allowing fluid through so the master is blowing fluid out of the back?

I am totally lost at this point, have been on this non stop for 3 days, missed 2 from work, and may likely be fired soon if I cant isolate this problem. Anyone with any ideas, please help.

Thanks for reading.

Not trying to be a smart A$$ but did you mount the calipers on the right side? Had that happen to me on a customers rig, He put them on and I never thought about it!

Also if the prop valve sensed a "leak" at the rear it could have shut off , or tried to shut off the rear, which would cause a high pressure on that part.

the calipers and pads are new per previous owner, i only replaced the shoes/cylinders/springs for the drums

also, truck does not have abs. I dont know how much automation goes on inside the combination valve, but are you saying that if it senses a leak it shuts off the rear ports? If that has happened, how would one reset it
