what would be the best size fuel cell for my runner? I'm wanting to go with a smaller one...like a 10g. I really want it to sit inside my runner but I reckon I will do what I have to do.

give me some input here..pics and opinions would be great

coming from someone who runs elect. fuel pump and large cell it sucks to run out.
I have fueled 3 of my fellow M Devils on the trail ,among others
The fuel consumption is almost dubbeld when it is slick and wheel speed is a must

Go at least 15 gallon. If you know anyone that can custom make one, you could get one built for your specific needs. I just finished building two, one for myself and one for a friend. Custom building is nice because you can choose the size you want, to make it fit where you need it to go. Mine measures 20"Lx16"Wx13"D, and will hold between 17-18 gallons. I wish I would have made mine a little narrower so I could put it in the factory location (kind of), and just raise it up alot from factory, but it is a little too wide and would hit the driveshaft (might can make it fit though, haven't looked at it too close).

For reference, my friend spent $100 on a 3x12 sheet of 1/8" aluminum (thanks FishHunt), and that was plenty to my both tanks, and I have some leftover I am going to use as a floor in the 'bed' of my truck.

You just have to find somebody that can TIG weld aluminum, a spoolgun WILL NOT work, the weld it WAY too porous.

I'd think about cutting the floor and sinking it behind the axle with a 9 guage bottem to protect it. Keeps the interior room and gets it off the rocks. Dont sink it lower than the frame rails and flat bottem the back under it.

A cheaper simpler option is still the ford gas tank I posted a link to on pirate. They are either 17 or 18 gal depending on year. The only problem I see is the filler is on the wrong side. But if your into cutting the floor, body etc. already, it wouldn't be much to put a filler neck on the driver's side.

With a 1 inch body lift, the tank doesn't hang below the frame in the rear. But If you are gonna bob the back of the truck, forgat all of this.
