fuel mileage

What kind of fuel mileage do you guys get from your 4x4 4.0 auto xjs and zjs?? Thinking of getting one as a dd.

i get 15mpg city and 17 highway, with 4.88's

thinking more like stock jeeps.. I had a 98 zj with 33s and 4.10s it got around 16-17. curious to waht stock ones get.

96 ZJ with stock 3.5? gears, auto, 4.0, 188K miles, and 31s, get around 16-16.5.

My 98 is getting 19/20 back and forth to worth to work(highway at 55-60mph) 16 around town. Stock 3.55's

When my XJ was bone stock, if I drove 55 on the highway all the time and made an effort to drive conservatively I'd get up around 21-22 mpg and typically around 18-19 around town. If I wasn't careful with the skinny around town could get down to 17 or 16 pretty easily. That was with slightly smaller than stock (215 I think) tires and 3.55s

3.55s and 33s got me down in the area of 15-16 around town and up around 18 on the highway. About to go to 4.10s and 33s and expect to get back to the 17+ range for around town as long as I'm mindful...

90 XJ, 4.0, AW4, stock everything, Renix fuel injection, gets 16-18 depending on the tank. Used to get closer to 20, but the BFG AT's and severe beating by the driver have affected it some.

95ZJ (wife's), 4.0, AW4, stock everything, Mopar fuel injection, gets 19-20 on every tank, and has gotten as high as 23 on a tank with majority highway driving.
