galloways oct 27th

Can I get a quick explaniation on a Grudge pull and what all this day will intel.
Trucks hook up on a strap rear bumper to rear bumper...stack all sorts of weight on the front end and see who can pull the other across a line on a concrete pad. Or whoever's stuff breaks first..it's pretty base but kinda fun to watch.

grudge pulling is fun and yes you can break stuff, but theres more to it than most people think. i just cant get my truck to hook up!

The judging is not fair and really lame. If you go don't waste you money showing. I have a 7inch coil over Rubicon with everything you can imagine from 1200 watt stero, air horn, onboard air, I could go on. I entered the rock crawling contest and flexed out ontop of a 33 that was on top of a 37 and got beat by a stock CJ 5 with wooden bumpers on 33inch at's.

yea ive never really liked the judging on the truck show. the pulls are what really draws people in. maybe next year ill have a place up here to put on a grudge pull along with a mudbog.

Kinda a spit in the face for me. I paided Galloways somewhere around 8 grand with gears lift tires rims and my score on mods was like a 2. Other than putting in a bar I can't do anymore mods. After that show I entered a show two weeks later in Tenn at their 4wheel parts warehouse show and won against way better jeep rigs than I was scored against at Galloways. This is the sand Rubicoon that was on the front page of the Stanley post after the show. Sorry so bitter but the judges knew what was done to that jeep, it's my bad ass baby.:huggy:

you mean theres nothing else for you to buy in their catalog. i would imagine a big block V8 swap, a twin sticked atlas, dana 60's or even rockwells something that isnt bolt on may net you a few more points on the score card.

Of course 4wheel Parts is gonna love ya, your sportin a bunch of their product.

I dont mean to get down on ya, and i hope no one jumps on the flame wagon here cause im not trying to start one. Theres more to a truck show that how many "mods" you can bolt on to a basically stock vehicle.

The flex will get 64inchs off the ground without lifting a tire. You left out airing down. Galloways has done a incredable job on the install.

I'm well aware how judging is done. Thing like interior, line X air fittings front and rear, full cage, clean stero install and such. That's why you get a sheet at the end. I just know the attention that jeep got at that show and the score it got in Tenn. As far as mods from 4 wheel parts I've used some on their products but 4 wheel part dosn't sell rock kwawler and I bought the poison spyder stuff long before they carried that.

You're not jumping on a "flaming wagon" I like the guys up there my jeep rocks because of them but the judgeing sucks. The jeeps that won were all from Hicks performance. Hicks had a nice yellow XJ that rocked and the rest were nice but not rock crawlers just nice show jeeps. If I entered the jeep class and lost that would have been fine but I entered the rock class.

That's the jeeps that go offroad.

Left out the axles. The jeeps that won had dana 20, dana 35 and one had a 8.8. My Rubicoon is done. I have my new project coming along YJ v-8, 60's, atlas, 4link in front and leafs in back with 42inch tires and Darrel, Chris and Jamie up at Galloways is helping. I have no problems with Galloways they know there shit just the shows are BS.

Lester is old school as they come. I've heard him talk about people "messing up their rigs with too much lift and them wide tires".

I don't know who judges but Lester's style is an old bronco or cj5 sitting on 34x10.50's - tops..

The kids that work there and Lester do the judgeing. You are right though. The shop isn't old school though. just don't want someone to waist there money I think 35 bucks for a judging that is pure luck to win. My jeep won a few years back with a budget lift so I guess what comes around. I'm not mad just warning you guys. The show has alot of locals and is cool to go and see the grudge pull.:bronco:

I'll be there with the Taco. I have missed the last few years while it was tore down. She's back together now so here I come. :driver:

Might be there. What time does the Grudge usually start. I could care less about the show.:huggy:

it was a good show. i know my truck was really hooking up and did great all day in the grudge pulls. it seems like there were more trucks in the pulls than in the spring.

Here are a few I took but none from the pulls.
