gas tank vent hose for TJ

relocated my filler neck to the rear of the TJ...now just trying to get the two hoses connected...

first priority was the fill hose, and I knew I wanted it to flow "downhill"...it has a sharp turn, but at least gravity will be able to work...

now I need to hook up the vent hose...

anybody know for sure if it has to be "downhill" as well? or can it have a bend or curve that actually goes "up"?

I'm trying to route it around the fill hose and the frame in that back corner, and it'll be MUCH easier if I can just go up-and-over...

Thanks.

As long as there are no restrictions venting to atmosphere without having fuel splashing out, run it anyway you like.

Although, you may want to run it into the filler hose. Some phenomenon with jeeps and the gas cap venting throwing the SES light.

I'm using the factory neck, which is metal and has the vent tube molded into it...

I'm just asking about the actual piece of rubber hose...right now it's coming from the tank, over the big fill hose, and curving over to the port molded into the neck...

It'll run fine...I guess I'll find out if it matters when I fill it up the first time...

Thanks.
