My son had a little fender-bender and in addition to fender damage, he pushed the axle back on the Driver's side (as evident by the bent control arm and the steering wheel being 90 degrees from normal).

The control arm mounting tabs are bent on the axle. Can these be straightened? Is this something I can straighten myself or is it going to require pounding and/or heat?

Is there anybody reputable in the Raleigh-area that I can take it to for repair? I will probably also get the axles re-geared at the same time, and I don't want just any schlock setting up the gears.
