I got mine from discount tire b/c of the very same reason. This was a few years ago!I know SEARS carries the smaller sizes... They are a GREAT tire!!... they ride and wear awesome! I wanted a second pair for my cherokee but got the BFG AT's b/c sears had a sale on them.
I'm lookin for 205 or 215 75 15s for a stock 2wd 98ChevyS10 LS, the lil 205s-seem to be hard to find. I have wore out 215 Mich LTX now, but want the 205 ATs.
Well I got the tires today, through Firestone. The factory size 205 75 15s and am very impressed after 8 miles. They hum a lil but the ride is smooth and they turn w precision. Going down from the old 215s gave the old truck a lil more giddyup too!! They were obviously just made as they stink like a tire factory even w the breeze tonight! Thanks Zombiehunter, I could'nt have done it w/o you!!
Update.....boppin down US-1 today and my truck commenced to shakin pretty bad from 65-75. Slowed down to 62 and it was comfortable but a shimmy. Went by the tire place and had them check balance, of course the last tire they checked failed the road force test even after they rotated it on the rim ( glad I was watching the tests) they told me to call the manager tomorrow about getting a replacement......................
Dragged the boat to the lake for the first time w the grabbers. The 2000 lbs +/- wanted to wag the tail of the truck in sweeping turns much more than the Michilans that were on it. I can't tell if it's the tread or the sidewalls but something is flexing. I'll just have to slow down a lil.
