Is anyone currently running or ran the red letter general grabbers? I am looking to get some of these but haven't heard a lot about them. Any info on road manners and trail manners would be appreciated

I have set on my xj. Road manners are great. Very quiet when new but get louder the more they wear. On the trail they are a good tire. They are not a mud tire even with the big lugs. They done really well in the snow. They resemble a lawnmower turf tire to me the longer they are on my jeep. I seem to be pretty good mileage out of them. I have about 10 to 12 thousand miles on them and they look great. If you are getting them for the red letters, it will rub off via rock, stump, stick, curb.

I run them on my 03 TJ on 35s and love them. on road they are fantastic and i absolutely loved them in UREs dry dusty climates. I am hearing 40-50k from my customers. as far as the red rubbing off...general says hit it with armor all and they letters come right back, they are actually seperate pieces of rubber hand laid in at the factory. 4WP was the only retailer for the first 90 days and we completely depleted the supply on almost all the popular sizes. FWIW i will be running them on most of my street trucks in the future.

Don't they also make them without the red letters. I have heard this but not sure if it's true. Also where is the best place to get these at a decent price.

i think so, but why not just turn em black side out. a local shop in oxford has the best price I have found so far. but as far as big places... 4 wheel parts is not bad i reckon

only certain sizes are available in blackwall on both sides. it seems to be on the load range E tires for heavier trucks like 35s on 17 and 20s. Here at 4WP of Raleigh we wont be under sold on anything. get your best price and then call us...919-571-8105!
