I need to get my towrig/DD registered down here. I have all sorts of stupid questions.
For reference, it is a midly modified 99 f-250 SD, diesel.
1. Weighted tags. Do I need them? I dont have a trailer (yet), but i borrow a heavy car hauler (2k pounds, 7k+ loaded) and I borrow and am looking to buy a 2 car goose (4k trailer, 16+/-k loaded) with a heavy truck (7k empty!). Worst case is 24k total.. probably only 20-22 usually, but only 4-6x a year? I have seen SD's with weighted tags, and without them.
2. Tinting. My front two windows are tinted. Not real dark, but they have a film on them. Do I need to take it off?
3. Registration/Title. It is (less them half) owned by the bank, I guess i need to call them and get the title switched? any ideas here?
4. Inspection. Diesel truck, but aftermarket exhaust, probably to be registered on Orange county. Am I correct in assuming it is pretty much a lights only test?
Thats about it for now, I guess i need insurance (less then 1/2 of delaware!) before I can get a liscence before I can get the truck registered. Oh, the joys of switching states.
