Lockers are going in (hopefully with no issues) and might be ready to go in a few days, and I have a winch in the back floorboard of my truck waiting for Ethel's return (I call her Ethel)

I'm pretty doggone stoked......I hope to be getting a cage at some point this summer with whatever I HOPE to make off the sale of my D.D. that SHOULD go up for sale soon.

It's coming together and hopefully will be a pretty good off-road rig

what winch did you end up getting? BTW whats is the DD for sale? I may be looking for something within the next month or so. Can you put some ghost flames on it if I decided to buy?

Troy, I saw your rig this weekend! Took a minute to realize it was yours (seems like you had it for sale at one time?)... Looked kind funny on the stands, all drooped with the winky street rubber :p , but I believe it will be pretty decent offroad with the gears/lockers going in. You'll be able to break parts with the best of us now! ;)

BTW, was the black "shadowing" to make the ghost flames stand out (or "OEM")? And what's the tape on the lights for? :D

My 2002 silverado is what I'll be selling soon I hope (holding my breath to see what becomes of a company vehicle for me)

The black was POR-15 overspray when I eliminated the OHIO rust

I HOPE to give it depth with my airbrush later down the road.

The tape is to hold on the light covers...since they're not EXACTLY for those lights

Okay, it you are moving to lockers and a winch, it is time to give up the street bike look and lose the light covers.

Illegal to have them wired to work without covers for street use.

I like to leave as little as possible on the table....I live in Kernersville afterall, where the police officers look for anything at all to turn on their lights and make a scene pulling you over for NOTHING

I dunno how many lights you've got, but I don't think it's illegal for you to have a pair of auxiliary 'driving' lights on the street, is it? I mean, so many OEMs offer them that it can't be. Unless the law specifies between off-road type lights and driving lights.

Sorry for the semi-hijack, just a little curious.

Edit: new thread in General Tech

:nopics:

Oh, and John... Open up a new thread in tech... We've lost our resident guru of NC traffic laws, but I hope we can talk him into coming back...

J

ehh. I was told I post too many pictures :D

(2) 130 watt and (2) 100 watt........I was told if it's over 55 watts (typical driving lights) it has to be covered so you don't decide to try to be God and turn night into day on the freeway

(Yeah this needs to be tech)

Holy old thread! Like the oldest thread. What in the world is Troy talking about, did he ever get lockers (cause he still don’t wheel) and does it have lights?

Also, if I read all that worthless, no pic posting junk above right...Troy had a Silverado??

I had a 5 year old, crazy old lady, and one income. Means I didn't wheel anymore.

Only one of those facts remain. Dammit.

You dont wheel anymore?

You dont wheel anymore?
Just my jackstands. Unless you count the daily rescuing the tractor or dirt roads in Pisgah.

I did race on two wheel for several years.
