I have had a '77 CJ7 for a few years now and have recently bought a '85 CJ7 Golden Eagle. Any info you guys can provide about an eagle is much appreciated. I have tracked down most of the codes as far as orignal engine, color, trans, etc but there are a few I have not been able to figure out such as the deviation code and special order code. I would like to make sure this is an original Golden Eagle before restoring it.
Also, the '77...how can i find out if it was a Renegade, Laredo, etc? (besides tracking down previous owners...) It was repainted before me buying it so any decals it may have had are long gone.
