The wife and I usually go to The Dutch Barn on Wendover in Greensboro to get our Christmas Tree every year...we usually end up spending $60-$70 on a tree and this year, we just don't want to do that.

Anyone know of a place that sells decent trees for a good price? I'd rather not buy one from wal mart or lowes as no one can seem to tell me how long they have been there.

Co worker of mine said her friend bought a 8 ft tree from a church in Lexington for $40 but would have to ask which church it was.

Just get a cheap tree. I go across the street from my house every year and get one from food lion. They are usually 6 feet tall and last from thanksgiving to new years no problems. $30/done. I also usually get a $25 rebate from a beer company so i buy a little groceries with the tree and essentially get the tree for 5 bucks.

You can go to the tree lot on the corner of academy and peterscreek in Winston Salem. Down the hill from winston's ball field. Tell em Scott Thomas is your buddy from off roading and I said to get a good deal. I worked it for 6 years. May have to find the girl named Leah working there.

FYI big stores trees are cut as early as Halloween. Be careful.

I grew up with a real tree & like them, but the prices of trees are ridiculous. I've bought a few over the last number of years when I found them for sub $5/ft. Normally I put up the fake & get some real garland or wreath cheap for the smell. You can get great deals on fake trees after Christmas.

Not much help I know

Support the Boy Scout tree lot in Oak Ridge. BSA troop 139. Trees range from $40 to $70.
