4 of us from the triad got an invite to wheel with a club from Maryland at The Cove in Gore VA last weekend. We got there midday friday and got a full afternoon of rocks and a great meal as the snow storm hit. We stayed in town and headed back up to the park the next morning with several inches of snow on the ground. The park was beautiful and the snow made the off camber trails a bit of a handful and I "leaned" on more trees than I am used to with a full bodied Bronco. Whats a few more dents...
We had a blast exploring a new place to wheel and enjoyed the great food and new friends we met. If you're looking for a great place to wheel then I would highly recommend The Cove. We only got to see a small part of the park so a trip back when its warmer is a must.

Extremely Jealous! I love that place and would imagine its beautiful anytime of the yr, much less being able to wheel it with snow on the ground! The cove is only 2hrs south of where I was born, now I'm just over 6hrs south from it:rolleyes:

That is definitely some of the best rock crawling/trail riding on the east coast!

That was a first time for all of us. I was amazed that the technical rock gardens seemed to go on and on. The folks from the club said there were alot more trails and obstacles than what we hit so we've got to go back. There are alot more pics at their website hardrock crawlers.org

Been to The Cove for a couple of Big Dogs events. A great place to wheel. They've got trails for any level of vehicle. Never been in the snow, bet it is beautiful there in the winter time. :driver:

That's awesome.

Finally I retreived a couple of me. Not too good at this computer thing...
