I had a college classmate who went to work in Indianapolis right out of college.
Until around 2010 the most of the state of Indiana didnt observe daylight savings time. Further confusing is the state is a split time zone...and they've tweaked which counties are CST and EST over the years as well.

But right out of college Dave took a job in Indianapolis but lived about an our west of Indianapolis. His work was Eastern and didnt observe DST but home was Central and did. So depending on the time of year his home and work were either the same time or 2 hours off. Never1. It caused chaos with things like work/school coordination etc.

Maybe we should be like China and just have 1 time zone for the whole mainland.

Thank you gentlemen for proving my point :D
Hey for the most part the Newfies are good people who don't want anything to do with the rest of Canadia and did that shit so they'd be left alone

Man, I love Newfoundland. You are right they barely associate themselves with mainland Canada craziness. I could live up there for sure.

Ditto. Especially the west side of the island where there's almost nothing.
I've always wanted to make the trek across it where its just a whole lot of nothing.

In 2012 my BIL, nephew and I drove from MD up through Nova Scotia, took the ferry, drove up to Gros Morne, did the Long Range Traverse wilderness hike, drove up to the NE peak, then took 5 days to road trip home.
Also trying to get an excuse to go back. This time want to trek E-W. Was thinking just driving but the T'Railway seems awesome.
Hell HMU if you want a buddy
