I'm still finishing up on it. Sealing the bulkhead and a few odds and ends. Once I have it finished and have better pictures I'll post more. This picture was taken with my blackberry.
Over all I am very pleased with the top. The guys at gr8tops (in SC) answered all my questions. It took me about 4 hours to get the top on. I'm going to get a spray in bedliner soon. Also either a rockhard or or-fab sport cage for the cab.
With half doors or doors off it's just like riding with a bikini top on.
I'm also THINKING of putting a pop up sunroof in it, I'm not sure how that'd work with those ribs on the roof.
Oh also. The seats will slide all the way back and can recline a fair bit, about where I usually kept them. If you like your seats waaaaay back then you probably wont like this top.

That looks really nice.

I like it. How much did that set you back? And 4 hrs to install?

1675 shipped. 1500 top, 50 tinted rear window, 125 shipping.

Install was cut off rear kickers, and install the bulkhead. The bulkhead took the longest, fitting it in place and screwing it in place. Then setting the top in place and making adjustments. Taking the top off putting down camper tape and drilling holes to mount top to the bulkhead.

I moved speaker pods over the front seats, and don't know if I'll leave them there, but I'll leave them there for now.

Is that an unlimited TJ? Its hard to tell but it looks like you have the extended wheelbase. I like the look, so you can still have the rear seat in with it on right? What about the roll cage?

Yeah it's an LJ. You could maybe put the seat in backwards, maybe. IF you take the top off the bulk head stays. In all my jeeps the back seat is always the first thing to go.

Currently I have the oem cage with the rear kickers cut off and about 2.5" of them left inside the cab.

I may add a rear cage later, (passing through the top via grommets) but for now I'm going to do something like or-fab or rock hard for the cab and do some bed rails with rails running down diagonally to where the seat hardware attached to the bed.

If you look at the photos of LJs at gr8tops.com you'll see one almost exactly like mine wit the rails like I am thinking of doing.

I'm trying to find a truck box that would work for this set up I'm thinking something for a small mitsu pickup might work.

that looks really awesome.

The extended over the non extended allows for more recline. I can set my seats exactly where I set them before the half top went on. I would imagine a non extended half top would mean less recline.

The extended top is 2.5" longer than the regular half top. There is some room behind the seats. I plan on mounting my inverter back there and maybe rig up some storage compartments back there also.

Line-X in rear bed finished.

With half doors.

yep. I still have to get used to the stares. I know in Boone there are a lot of the rubitrux since they are made there, but I have not seen another one from Jonesville east.....YET.

The half doors and half hard top is my absolute favorite config on top/doors.

In my old YJ I'd almost always run a bikini top, just to keep from getting burnt up. This is almost the same thing, especially with the rear window open, but with so much less hassle.

sweet ride

i really want one just like that but black, very nice!
