The wife's 2002 WJ drained her battery yesterday because the electric fan behind the radiator ran all day while she was at work. The relay was bad. I'm posting this to help the next person who this happens to because some instructions tell you to remove the front bumper and some posts on the web tell you to remove a headlight and cut a hole, but don't show you where to cut the hole. This may have took 30 minutes because I didn't have a , probably could have done it faster with a .
Remove the passenger side headlight and cut a hole as shown in the pic below:

Here you can see the relay:

Replace the relay, and what I did was take some epoxy to reattach what I cut out. When that dries, I may put some caulk on it for added measure to keep out water.
