I stumbled upon this "hybrid" refrigerant when it came to summer time this year and my R-12 needed a full charge in my jeep cherokee.

I was skeptical at first but it was my cheapest alternative to recharging my a/c system and it works great! Three cans of this stuff took my a/c from warm and poopy to wow my air conditioning has not felt this good in a ling time. Very affordable and compatible with both r-12 and r-134a.

It also smells like pine-sol when the can comes off the hoses

There's any easy way to find out. Got a match?

However:
Like most organic materials ENVIRO-SAFE is flammable, but its ignition temperature is 1585ºF at both 5 psi and 0 psi (which is better than the DuPont R-134a's ignition temperature of 368ºF at 5 psi and 1411ºF at 0 psi). Nevertheless, a pine odor has been added to the product so that any leak in a refrigeration system can be readily detected.
