I've got a shed on the back of my property with less than ideal conditions to grow grass. Lots of shade, lots of trees & roots and consequently, poor conditions to grow grass. I'm not looking to do a lot of maintenance back here to create the ideal conditions to grow & maintain grass, so I'm thinking of some type of ground cover. Top on my list is dwarf mondo grass. It's nice and soft on bare feet & I'm able to mow it if it gets to tall and shaggy looking. Anyone else have any ideas or suggestions that I should consider? Pic of current condition...

Dwf Mondo or little periwinkle (Vinca Minor) NOT Big Periwinkle. Neither Mondo or Little Periwinkle will grow in any time soon though so be patient.

Thanks for the response. I'll take a look at little periwinkle as well. We have dwarf mondo in other areas of our landscape and I was planning on planting it a little closer based on how it grew & spread in those other areas. Thanks again.
